Transformers CYOA Demo
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
This is a demo for an in-progress Transformers choose-your-own-adventure visual novel. The demo covers the intro section of the game.
The Decepticons won the war, but hope is not lost. You and a couple of other newly born sparks are the Autobots' last chance to tip the balance and fight back. Will you rise to the challenge?
Note that this is an alpha build and as such the assets are entirely placeholder. Android users also note that there is currently a bug that blocks the text input screen with the keyboard so you won't be able to see what you're inputting as your name.

An interesting game that scratches that self-insert fan inside of me, can´t wait for more!
I was able to enjoy what was here. But there are just a few things that I think could help this game. This looks like it belongs to the Aligned Continuity Family since it uses the designs of Arcee and Optimus from Transformers Prime.
The first thing that could be changed is the use of characters that have a known pre-exsisting backstory. I.E Arcee and Optimus. And replace them with different characters. I feel like Optimus should be replaced by Ironhide with this designe since there's a gap between Transformers: Retribution and Transformers: Robots in Disguise. You could probably replace Arcee with Chromia. (She was on cybertron during Deadlock but she was also supposed to be in Transformers Universe so idk where she would be after the Fall of Cybertron.) Which brings me to the second thing:
Instead of the Autobots trying to re-claim Cybertron, I think this could work better if it takes place after FoC, following this group of Autobots, being separated from Team Prime before the game starts, and their efforts to creat a temporary settlement but since the Decepticons have a weapon on the planet already, they are able to keep the Autobots away from the planet.

While my main sources of inspiration for characterisation and design come mostly from TFP and MTMTE/LL, it's not intended to be any specific continuity. Arcee's sprites were taken from another project of mine and I like TFP!Optimus's design so used him for a reference when throwing together my placeholder assets.
The current plot (as I have sketched out) would need to be overhauled completely to fit in with your suggestions, so thank you, but I'm going to stick with what I have for now. Hopefully, when I get the next part out (one day, lockdown life has made working on it tricky), it'll have a better picture of the world its set in and how everything will come together.

Your welcome. I like doing my own "writing" and I just thought of the idea while playing through the game. These were just my thoughts on it. Since it's not ment to be part of the Aligned Continuity I have no problems with it. (Other than the demo being very short.) Keep up the good work! I'll let you know if I want to help with the writing. Though I'm not so sure how good my imput would be, but it's an interesting offer none the less.
